Abstract Mental load affects the work efficiency and mental health of operators, it has a vital effect on reliability human–machine systems. In this study, evaluation index system operators’ was used to quantitatively evaluate state workers. The established by selecting indices from physiological parameters, subjective feelings, time perception. We propose an extended cloud model states that combines (CM) theory with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique for order preference similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) provides levels.
